Today started out with a surprise pair of brand new Nike high tops from my boyfriend (how cool is he?) and continued with an unexpected abundance of beautiful sunshine, which my fellow bunheads and I enjoyed after company class this morning. We did a little ballerina-style tanning (gotta love those leotard lines), drank Seven Stars iced tea and soaked in some much needed Vitman D. Now the rest of the company is headed back into the studio to get made up, bunned-up and warmed up for the opening of Up Close On Hope tonight. As for me, I’ll be taking my sweet time putting on a fancy outfit, blow drying my hair and attending the show from the other side of the stage for a change. It will certainly be an interesting experience for me, as this will be the first show I’m not performing in since I joined the company 3 years ago. But you know what? Sometimes it feels really good to have the pressure off your shoulders for a few performances. And whose shoulders is that pressure coming down on, you ask? Well take a look and see for yourself:
Aren’t they a bunch of cuties?! Merde to all my little Festyheads tonight! :)
Those are awesome shoes!
