Ides of March

So, it’s almost 70 degrees out and rising here in Providence and I could not be more thrilled, shocked, confused, excited, and relaxed.  Since “spring” weather in New England usually incudes a generous amount of rain and clouds with the occasional pop of sunshine that allows us to unload the peacoats and boots, this June-like sunshine seems like a wonderful mistake.  The trees are budding (some blooming!), the birds are chirping, and as I mentioned earlier the sun is most definitely shining!  On that note, I’m off to the beach to soak up some Vitamin D…Happy Thursday!

Ray-BAM

I got these Ray-Ban aviators for my birthday last month, and boy have they been getting broken in.  These past few days have been SPRING SPRING SPRING weather!  With temperatures in the upper 60’s and 70’s (it’s supposed to be 85 tomorrow, woo!), I’ve been using every excuse possible to spend time outside in the sun.  I’ve already acquired a sexy racer-back tan from reading in the park wearing a tank top and shorts for just a half hour yesterday.  That’s serious.  But if those temps and my dorky tan lines don’t convince you that spring has sprung, take a look at the ground……that’s right, folks!  Crocuses!  Providence is in bloom!

Bright Bits

Maybe it’s the warm spring weather and longer days we’ve been having lately, but I seem to be magnetically drawn to bright rainbow hues.  In clothing, home decor, jewelry, accessories…I can help but notice these technicolor trinkets adding an extra pop to my day.  There is something to be said about the ability bright colors have to instantly change my mood.   It’s really quite impressive- I can go from mopey to mushy in the drop of a brightly colored hat!

Spring Forward

MSGM / Pre-Fall 2012

It’s that time of year again!  Last night we switched over our clocks (unless you’re like me, and never “fell back” in the fall, then your clocks are finally caught up!), and lost a whole hour in the day.  I suppose this is a fair enough exchange for the entire bonus day we got at the end of the month (February 29- leap year woo!).  Either way, I’m taking Mother Nautre’s newest hour-snatching as a sign to get out there and gobble up the first signs of Spring.  I’m off to a day of antiquing, manicures, and sunshine.  In the meantime, I’ll be lusting over this ahhhdorable MSGM bubble mini (above) and I will leave you with these words of wisdom:
