What I wish tomorrow would look like:
What tomorrow will actually look like:
I hope everyone in New England is staying nice and warm this weekend! I’ll be posted up on the couch in my pj’s with a cup of tea, ahhh is there anything better? xo
Last night the first snowfall decided to grace us early. The weather here in New England has been pretty crazy lately (but then again, isn’t it always?), from a hurricane to a Nor’easter with a mini blizzard mixing up in there somewhere. I’m no meteorologist, but I’d say these past few weeks could be a little preview of what’s to come this winter. So batten down the hatches kids! It’s going to be an eventful season! Some images to keep you toasty during this frigid, blustery, SNOWY day:images via here & here.
New pointe shoes to sew and a warm fall flannel. Oh, and TOMS flats. You know what that means? It’s September! In my opinion, September comprises some of the best weather days of the entire calendar. Skies are blue, grass is green, leaves are beginning to do their annual costume change…what more could you ask for? Plus, I’m always looking for an excuse to cozy up in a nice soft flannel. This autumn I’m looking forward to going apple picking and making some delicious apple sauce in the crockpot with the roommie.
What are your plans for fall?
So, it’s almost 70 degrees out and rising here in Providence and I could not be more thrilled, shocked, confused, excited, and relaxed. Since “spring” weather in New England usually incudes a generous amount of rain and clouds with the occasional pop of sunshine that allows us to unload the peacoats and boots, this June-like sunshine seems like a wonderful mistake. The trees are budding (some blooming!), the birds are chirping, and as I mentioned earlier the sun is most definitely shining! On that note, I’m off to the beach to soak up some Vitamin D…Happy Thursday!
xo
I got these Ray-Ban aviators for my birthday last month, and boy have they been getting broken in. These past few days have been SPRING SPRING SPRING weather! With temperatures in the upper 60’s and 70’s (it’s supposed to be 85 tomorrow, woo!), I’ve been using every excuse possible to spend time outside in the sun. I’ve already acquired a sexy racer-back tan from reading in the park wearing a tank top and shorts for just a half hour yesterday. That’s serious. But if those temps and my dorky tan lines don’t convince you that spring has sprung, take a look at the ground……that’s right, folks! Crocuses! Providence is in bloom!
